Restoring an old Citroen 2CV

Summer 2009 we bought a Citroen 2CV for £650. It was in fair condition (from a distance!) but needed a good amount of work doing. Here are the very few photographs from this little restoration project. After we got it running well, we drove it 2500 miles round France and Belgium see 2CV Road Trip in the gallery

This seems to be a common sight on most 2CVs. All the water collects here and rust just eats right through. Luckily it wasn't so bad that the full bonnet hinge had to be replaced
